Do you have a question?

Are you a registered Celebrant?

What paperwork do I need to complete to get married?

How far in advance should we book you?

Yes I am! I’m a Commonwealth-registered marriage celebrant authorised to legally marry couples anywhere in Australia. I’m fully trained, insured, and absolutely love what I do. If you feel you need to check you can do so online here

How far in advance should we book you?

As soon as you have a date in mind! Popular months (especially spring and autumn) book quickly, so the earlier the better—ideally 6–12 months out. That said, I’ll always do my best to accommodate short notice ceremonies too.

What paperwork do I need to complete to get married?

You must lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before your wedding.

We'll meet to complete the paperwork, verify your identity documents (passport or birth certificate), and confirm you meet the legal requirements—being 18 or older, not already married, and both giving consent.

Yes, this is $350.

The booking fee is non-refundable and is required to secure my services and confirm your ceremony date. This fee ensures my availability and covers initial planning and administrative costs.

The balance is payable 4 weeks prior to your ceremony.

Will you travel?

Can we write our own vows?

Yes.

Travel is included for ceremonies within 80km of Newcastle, NSW. Additional travel fees apply for ceremonies outside this area and will be discussed at the time of booking.

If a flight, accommodation, or rental car is needed, I simply ask for those expenses to be covered. I don’t charge extra for destination weddings—just the necessary travel costs.

Can we write our own vows?

Absolutely—and I encourage it! Your vows are the heart of the ceremony. If you’d like help getting started or want me to review them for flow or length, I’m more than happy to help.

How do we get our official marriage certificate?

On the day, you’ll sign a commemorative certificate. I’ll then register your marriage with Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) in your state. I'll then apply for the official certificate through BDM, and that will get sent to you - at no cost.

How long does a ceremony usually take?

Most wedding ceremonies are between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the content and any personal touches you choose to include. Elopements and registry-style ceremonies are usually shorter—around 10 to 15 minutes.
